A rather broad term? The market for work clothing has developed exorbitantly
in the last few years. It has gone from simple work clothing (overalls)
to corporate identity clothing to where it is now, safety- or functional
clothing. The fabric structure is affected by the method it is woven.
The fabrics use can be taken into account during production. The type
of fabric such as: cotton and blended fabrics are differentiated however,
the weight of the fabric is of importance when it is actually in use.
Further criteria's are: abrasion resistance, air permeability and fabric
refining by various coating methods. Companies that present themselves to
the public, value corporate identity clothing for its employees. This can be
realized with multi-colored clothing and corporate logos. Functional clothing
that offers protection against cold and wet conditions, is a valuable asset to
the employee. Its use, can minimize illnesses caused by bad weather. Safety
clothing for the industry, disposable or reusable clothing, fire protection,
welders protection, safety wear (reflective) and forest worker protection round-off
the term clothing without going into further detail.

All gloves that are part of the personal safety gear, must correspond to
the general requirements of EN 420. The exceptions are: electrician gloves
and medical disposable gloves. Whether the gloves are leather, knit, synthetic
or rubber, you can rest assured that the correct gloves are being worn in your
company if a glove protection plan and its corresponding risk analysis is utilized.
To fulfill the various requirements, lawmakers have divided the risks in 3 categories:

Category I
|
Minimal risk:
There is minimal to no injury risk, e. g. cleaning jobs or jobs involving soil or dirt.

Category II
|
Medium risk:
The risk of injury cannot be completely diminished, e. g. working with sharp-edged parts.
|

Category III
|
Irreversible risk:
The risk of irreversible damage or even death cannot be excluded, e. g. working with chemicals or high voltage wires

The largest organ of the human body is the skin. Approximately 2 m²
protect the body from outer influences such as UV radiation, viruses or
wind and weather. Common pollutants which trigger skin diseases are
disinfectants, organic solvents, coolants etc.
For this reason, skin protection is very important.
With a skin protection plan the on-site conditions can be checked.
The correct combination of skin products such as: skin protection,
skin cleansing and last but not least skin care products, can protect
the employee's skin from job-related skin diseases.

Which helmet for which use? This is a frequently asked question since every helmet
is designed for a particular use. We differentiate between thermoplastics
(e. g. polycarbonate/PC, polyethylene/PE etc.) and thermosetting composites
(e. g. fiber glass-polyester/up-gf, textile-phenol/PF-SF etc.).
The helmets suspension (web belt system) can be synthetic or textile.
All helmets are marked with the name or the emblem of the manufacturer,
the helmet type, date of manufacture, material identification, CE-Mark as
well as the European test standard number. The governing regulation for
industrial safety helmets is DIN EN 397. Employees can wear a base cap with
integrated ABS plastic shell to protect themselves from minor bumps in areas where helmets are not mandatory.
Protective Eyewear
All manufacturers of protective eyewear must meet the appropriate EN-Norms.
The work area must be considered when selecting the correct protective eyewear.
The protective eyewear must have the same protection level whether in a laboratory,
where the risk of a chemical splatter is high, or in a machine shop. We distinguish
between single layer eye protection, face and eye protection or corrective eye
protection. Protective eyewear is also available for welders and metallurgists.
If necessary, the eyewear can be tinted on enquiry.
Hearing Protection
Since March 2007, the amended noise prevention guideline (2003/10/EG) limits the noise exposure value
in work places to 80 db (A). This means the employer must offer suitable hearing protection to the
employee. The employee must wear hearing protection in areas where the noise is 85 db (A) and above.
The market offers a wide variety of products, disposable plugs, reusable hearing protection (with or
without cord), banded hearing protection, ear muffs and custom hearing protection (Otoplastik).
An occupational health examination is required to determine the correct hearing protection.
Daily unprotected exposure to high levels of noise can result in the loss of hearing.

A risk analysis is required to determine the correct respiratory
protection device and its use, to ensure the air you breath is always "clean".

No matter where you work, it is essential to be prepared for dangerous situations.
It can begin with a simple band-aid and can end with a room to rest in. It is the
responsibility of the employer to provide the necessary facilities and trained staff.
FIRST AID must be provided immediately after an accident. Adequate amounts of eye wash
bottles, for rinsing out foreign objects, as well as first-aid kits must be available
and easily accessible. The number of kits required is dependent on the amount of
employees in a company. We have various disposable towels available for quick and
efficient removal of small amounts of liquid. High absorptive capacity as well as
tensile strength characterize these products. The danger of spillage or leakage exists
even when working with chemicals or oils. You can clean up these substances quick and
